BIOGRAPHY

Theodore's schooling in piano and traditional Greek folk music led to the beginning of his music path in London, where he studied Music Composition in 2011. His debut album (It Is But It’s Not), was mixed by Ken Thomas (Sigur Rós, Moby, M83) and performed live at the Abbey Road Studio 2 in London. Theodore’s cascading second LP Inner Dynamics recording travelled to three studios: Clouds Hill in Hamburg, Black Rock in Santorini, and Katara Studio in Doha - with the Qatar Philharmonic. The album was announced on NPR's All Songs Considered by B. Boilen and R. Hilton, who also premiered third single, ‘Disorientation’ on their show. His single ‘Towards?’ is playlisted on renowned national radio stations NPR All Songs 24/7 Music (USA).

Theodore shared the stage with Sigur Ros and DIIV, and among other festivals, he performed at Reeperbahn 2017&2018, played Eurosonic, Musexpo LA and SXSW 2018 & 2019 (where he was picked as NPR Music's ‘Favorite Discoveries And Memorable Moments’ and shortlisted at the Austin 100). He ended his 40-dates headline tour in Europe and the US with an exclusive concert on Bob Boilen’s Tiny Desk.

One of the highlights of his career, was his commission to write a new score for Buster Keaton’s classic silent comedy of 1928, The Cameraman. He performed the score live to the film screening, in the unforgettable setting of the Temple of Zeus in Athens. His music and memorable live performances have received the best reviews from international media such as Gigwise, CLASH Mag, Music Week, and radio play from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music.

Theodore’s atmospheric sound is a mix of classic, piano-driven compositions, with electronic elements ranging from ambient and minimal, to gritty 80s synth-wave. Repetitive drums and shimmering guitars lie under the monolithic songs, topped by Theodore’s hauntingly beautiful vocals.

“Theodore -one of my most exciting discoveries”
Lauren Laverne
“There’s something kind of magic about him, his music we both remarked, and remarked to him, had this beautiful feeling of Pink Floyd to it, like lots of adventure. There’s lots of external sounds that mix in, that aren’t necessarily musical but they become musical in the form that Theodore’s presents his music.”
